Pending Progress

Hey, just wanted to say that you might see and shit ton of sketches going on in the next couple days. Im planning on studying 4 main fantasy creatures and getting back into watercolor painting by doing a nice small poster sized painting of each.

I have to finish 1 out of the 2 illustration commissions currently paid for before I start though, so I'm going to be working late tonight and tomorrow to get some stuff done and sketchin started.

I'll be eventually doing Western Dragon, Werewolf, Unicorn & Griffin. If you have any cool ideas for any of those 4 or another serious fantasy creature contender, PLEASE let me know!

I haven't done any sketchin's today...

But I did manage to get this done in time to be delivered ON my friends birthday! I'm happy with the outcome because I only really had two days to plan and do the entire thing!

One to One and a half hours. Referenced 3 stock photos (one for the trunk, and one for each hand) The tail feathers were copy pasted from another picture (because no mater what i did, I just COULDN'T draw the damn thing)

For the purposes of random self improvement....

I will be updating this blog solely with sketches every other day at least. The idea here is to improve the speed and quality through constant practice. Once I get 10 good sketches down I might open that 100 sketches meme.




Thats only if I feel insanely productive. I'm unemployed now.... so it COULD happen LOL.
